Downingtown Area School District proudly congratulates its team of dedicated bus drivers for their outstanding performance at the recent Chester County Transportation Authority (CCTA) Bus Safety Competition, held on April 27 at Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center.
The Downingtown team showcased their driving skills and safety expertise, earning the second-place team trophy in a highly competitive event. The team’s achievement highlights their commitment to ensuring safe and reliable transportation for all students.
Additionally, the district celebrates the individual success of Jenn Fitting, a driver with Wolfington, who secured the 10th place in the individual category. Fitting’s performance has qualified her to advance to the state-level competition in June.
The CCTA Bus Safety Competition is an annual event designed to test and enhance the skills of bus drivers in various safety scenarios and road conditions. Participation in such competitions underscores the district’s ongoing commitment to promoting safety and professional development among its staff.
