Mrs. Jamie Zarmanian

This 2021-2022 school year, I am excited to be  teaching the Multiple Disabilities Classroom at Pickering Valley Elementary School.

I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Neumann University Aston, PA.  This is my 16th year teaching Special Education (14 years at Elwyn in Media and West Chester, PA). I started as a Preschool Teacher (Reverse Mainstream & Developmental Delay) for 8 years. I taught Special Education at the Elementary & Transition level for 6 years (including MDS for 2 years).  My husband, 2 daughters (Madison, 11 and Abby, 8), our dog, Izzy, and myself moved to Downingtown last year. This is currently my 2nd year at Downingtown Area School District. I started as a Long Term Substitute January 2020- January 2021 in the Life Skills Classroom at West Bradford Elementary and was contracted with Downingtown as a building substitute Learning Support Teacher at West Bradford and LionVille Elementary. I am happy to have a home at Pickering Valley Elementary School in the Multiple Disabilities Classroom and am looking forward to a great year!
