Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelors in Early Childhood Education PK-4 and Special Education PK-8 Master's in Educational Development and Strategies
Ms. Seygal graduated from West Chester University in 2015 with a B.S. degree and certification in Early Childhood PK-4 and Special Education PK-8. She just received her Master's Degree in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University. During her student teaching, she taught second grade at Bradford Heights Elementary and special education in Eleuthera; an impoverished island in The Bahamas with few resources and fewer accommodations for students. While teaching in Eleuthera, she developed real and significant interventions for her students that would normally receive learning support interventions in our school system here in America. Because of this unique experience, Ms. Seygal has developed not only a better appreciation for all that we are provided within the United States, but it taught her that no matter the background of a child, when given the opportunity to learn and be successful, they will explore their curiosities and desire to learn while gaining the tools and confidence to excel on his/her own.
To start her teaching career, she taught learning support at T/E Middle School and first grade at Devon Elementary, in Berwyn. Ms. Seygal is very excited to start her fourth year at East Ward as a full day Kindergarten teacher and has a fun year planned for her students!
