Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Wallin is a 2008 graduate from St. Joseph's University (go Hawks!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Political Science. She completed her Master's in School Counseling with a K-12 certification at Villanova University in 2010. She has experience working with students at all levels in the Twin Valley, Great Valley and Radnor Township school districts. However, it was her experience as the counselor at West Bradford Elementary from 2011 to 2014 that formed her as a counselor. After a brief hiatus to stay home with her children, Mrs. Wallin is overjoyed to return to Downingtown, a community that holds a special place in her heart. She is very excited to serve the students and parents (some families for a second time!) of The STEM Academy. Mrs. Wallin sees her role as a school counselor as a unique privilege where she has the opportunity each day to empower students to believe in themselves and encourage students to achieve their goals. Mrs. Wallin’s door is always open and looks forward to getting to know all students on her caseload.
When not at the STEM Academy, Mrs. Wallin loves spending time with her husband and three daughters. She also loves being outside, visiting the beaches of North Carolina, meeting new people, running the Broad Street Run each May and eating cupcakes and ice cream. Because let’s be honest, what problem can’t ice cream fix?
