Renee (Richardson) Harty was raised in Downingtown.  Renee attended Uwchlan Hills Elementary School, Lionville Junior High, and graduated from Downingtown Senior High Class of 1984.  Renee has a B.A. in Speech, Communication and Theater from Monmouth University, (Class of 1990).  She was a dance and gymnastics instructor for Harrison Studios for more than 30 years prior to coming to DASD.  Renee started as a classroom aid at Downingtown West and then took the position of Assistant to the Athletic Director at Downingtown EAST High School in 2005.
