Degrees and Certifications:
George Tucker came to STEM with 19 years of industrial experience in agricultural systems design and management, and 14 years teaching experience at Downingtown West High School. He is experienced in Biology, Environmental Science and Honors Biology II (anatomy and physiology) curriculums. George has an undergraduate degree from Penn State in Plant Science, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Biology certification through Millersville University, and certification to teach IB Biology. George completed his MEd in Organizational Leadership, at Cabrini College, in 2011.
He was a Howard Hughes Research Fellow (summer 2012) at Franklin and Marshall College (Lancaster, PA), assisting in transgenic research on the GCP6 gene. This program is associated with the Clinic for Special Children.
During the summers of 2013, 2014 and 2015 George has been one of our Downingtown teachers who teaches in The Peoples Republic of China (PRC), as part of the Hebei Province Cultural Exchange Program.
Most recently, George is also serving as the K–12 Science Curriculum Leader.
