Jessica Staub

Jessica Staub is an IB German Teacher at the STEM Academy. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.A. in German. During her time at SJU, she studied abroad at the Philipps-Universität Marburg in Marburg, Germany. After graduation, she received a Fulbright Grant to teach English at the Friedrich-List-Schule in Darmstadt, Germany. Upon returning to the US, she earned her M.A. in Foreign Language Pedagogy from the University of Delaware.

Before joining DASD, she taught at Widener University. Frau Staub wrote the levels II, III, IV, and IB Language B SL/HL German curricula for the STEM Academy. She has established a thriving GAPP exchange with the Gymnasium Fabritianum in Krefeld, Germany, which provides STEM German students with the opportunity to live with a German family and to attend school for three weeks in the summer. She also runs the STEM chapter of Delta Epsilon Phi (ΔΕΦ) National Honor Society for High School Students of German. In 2012, she arranged for the German Ambassador to the United States, Peter Ammon, to visit the STEM Academy to see the thriving German program and its talented students.
