Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kellie McGavin-Wiedlich is a School Counselor at the STEM Academy joining the department in 2013. Prior to working in the Downingtown Area School District, Mrs. McGavin-Wiedlich began her career as a high school counselor for two years within the Fannett-Metal School District. She continued to serve as a school counselor for six years at Pottstown High School before joining the STEM family.
Mrs. McGavin- Wiedlich earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and received her Masters of Science Degree in Secondary School Counseling from the University of Scranton in 2005. In addition, Mrs. McGavin-Wiedlich holds a national certification in counseling from the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Mrs. McGavin-Wiedlich is excited to be a part of the STEM community. She finds it an honor to help support students as they begin the process of exploring and identifying their future endeavors. Outside of her role as a school counselor, Kellie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, reading and watching the occasional television show.
