Degrees and Certifications:
Madame Bosch is a French instructor at the Downingtown STEM Academy. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a semester living with a host family and studying at the Institut Américain Universitaire in Avignon, France. She earned her B.A in French pedagogy from Ithaca College in 2001, and promptly returned to Pennsylvania for her first teaching position at Upper Darby High School where she instructed French at all levels from Beginning to Advanced Placement. During that time, she earned her M.A. in French from West Chester University, including participation in an intensive summer program for French teachers through the University of Northern Iowa living with a host family and studying at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France. She continued her travels to France by coordinating four French exchanges with various high schools across northern France. She taught all levels of French for one year at Radnor High School before coming to STEM. Here at STEM, Mme Bosch is thrilled to continue working on student exchanges with the Lycée-Nevers de Montpellier, and to spread the love of French language and culture to the Downingtown community.
When she’s not preparing for French class or teaching herself a new technology, Mme Bosch enjoys singing soprano in a local semi-professional choir, The Brandywine Singers, and doing other solo work in the area, reading, watching films, cooking gourmet meals, and having fun with her husband and two boys.
