Mrs. Tricia Sturgeon

Mrs. Sturgeon is a graduate of Shippensburg University, where she received a BSED and certification in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  She has also taken graduate coursework from West Chester University and received a MSED in Literacy K-6 from Walden University. When she is not at school, Mrs. Sturgeon loves to spend time reading, watching movies, going to the beach, and just spending time relaxing with her husband, three children, and dog.

Mrs. Sturgeon is beginning her fifth year as a fifth grade teacher at Lionville Elementary.  However, her roots in DASD date back to 2003 when she began her teaching career at Lionville Elementary.  From 2003-2006, Mrs. Sturgeon taught traditonal first grade (LE), fifth grade (UH), and multiage grades 1 and 2 (LE).  At the end of the 2005-2006 school year, she decided to fufill a life long dream and follow her heart to Hawaii to teach for "a year."  A year quickly turned into eight!  During this time, she taught both fifth and third grade and served as grade level chairperson for seven years.   Luckily nine years after saying "aloha" to Lionville, Mrs. Sturgeon was once again a member of the wonderful Lionville family!  She is thrilled to be a part of the fantastic fifth grade team and is looking forward to another spectacular school year ahead!!
