She is currently the Learning Support Teacher for grades 3-5 at Lionville Elementary School. At the start of the 2006-2007 school year, Sharon transferred to St. Katherine Day School in Wayne to teach in a Life Skills Support classroom with 11-13 year old children with special needs. In August of 2010, Sharon was hired by DASD as the 5th Grade Learning Support teacher at Uwchlan Hills Elementary. She spent her first two years in DASD at Uwchlan Hills Elementary as the 5th grade Learning Support Teacher.
Sharon's decision to enter the field of Special Education was guided by her experiences growing up with a sister with special needs. While in high school, Sharon began volunteering at summer camps designed for children with special needs. She graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor's Degree in Special/Elementary Education in May 2003. In December 2009, Sharon earned a Master's Degree in Education from Villanova University.
