Mrs. Celia Baney
Celia Baney, Master of Science in Leadership in Instructional Technology, has been teaching fifth grade for 14 years at Lionville Elementary school. Prior to teaching Mrs. Baney has pursued coursework in Experimental Psychology, Computer Science, and Landscape Architecture, at Columbia University and Rutgers University, and holds a Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture from Longwood Gardens. Celia owned and operated a Landscape Design and Installation business with her husband for 12 years. Celia’s special interest in preservation and beautification of our environment led her to pursuing a career in teaching, as she volunteered in schools to teach kids about the importance of learning about our environment.
Celia values the variety of experiences that she has to bring to the classroom, that include living on a working farm, working as an interior plant specialist, including servicing famous public and private interior landscapes in New York City and Philadelphia. Most importantly, Celia values the experience of raising her children , and understanding the challenges facing students today.
Celia Baney is a Grade Level Leader, a consultant for the Garden Club, and heads the Capri Sun Recycling Program. Celia enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and hiking with her husband.
