Mrs. Amber Heyduk
Amber Heyduk has been a teacher in the Downingtown School District since 2004. During her tenure here, she’s primarily taught mathematics for sixth grade, seventh grade, eighth grade and Algebra I. Her current role is as a mathematics intervention specialist. She believes that everyone can learn math with lots of practice, a willingness to try, and a safe environment to make mistakes and learn from them. Prior to beginning work at DMS, Mrs. Heyduk taught language arts in Methacton and Upper Merion.
Mrs. Heyduk earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1998, summa cum laude, and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Pennsylvania State University, Great Valley Campus. She is married to her college sweetheart, Jason, and together they have 3 beautiful children - Dylan, Cody, and Riley – and a dog named Jack. Most of her time these days is spent at the baseball field with her boys or dancing with her daughter! She enjoys gardening, watching sports, and sitting on the beach or at the pool.
