Empowering Students Through Bystander Intervention
Director of Student Relations and School Climate, Justin Brown, recently led an engaging and impactful presentation on Bystander Intervention at Downingtown Middle School.
Through interactive activities and real-life scenarios, students learned the importance of speaking up, supporting one another, and taking action to stop bullying. The session emphasized that every student has the power to make a difference by choosing kindness, showing courage, and looking out for their peers.
Students walked away with practical strategies and a stronger understanding of how to create a safer, more supportive school environment (4 D's). Together, we are building a community where respect, empathy, and accountability lead the way—and where everyone plays a role in standing up for what’s right.
