DASD Food Pantry

Supporting homeless and housing insecure students and families since October 2022

Two social work interns stand by a sign labeled "Food Pantry" with bags of food and blue/gold balloons

The Downingtown Area School District food pantry provides eligible students and families with perishable and non-perishable food items, as well as personal care and hygiene essentials, and school supplies.

Using funds received through a state grant to support homeless students, the DASD food pantry opened in October 2022 at Downingtown Middle School (115 Rock Raymond Road, Downingtown). It is stocked with items purchased with grant funds and donated by members of the community.

If you would like to learn more or make a contribution to the pantry, please contact Student Services Supervisor Jamie Nunery or Home & School Visitor Cierra Martinez.

Eligibility for Donations

The pantry is available to homeless and housing insecure students and families in DASD. If you believe you may qualify to receive donations, contact Student Services Supervisor Jamie Nunery or Home & School Visitor Cierra Martinez

Hours of Operation

The DASD food pantry will be accessible to eligible families after school, from 4-5 p.m., on the first Thursday of every month (10/6, 11/3, 12/1, 1/5, 2/2, 3/2, 4/13, 5/4, 6/1) and by appointment.
