Before & After Care for Children in Grades K-6
A Child’s Place Extended Care, Inc. provides Before & After School child care in all ten elementary schools and the Marsh Creek 6th Grade Center.
- Before Care: 7:00 a.m. - start of the school day
- After Care: end of the school day - 6:00 p.m.
- Early Dismissal Care: end of the school day - 6:00 p.m. (see district calendar)
- Day-Off Program 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. - this program will operate on select days DASD is closed (see district calendar)
Our mission is to enrich each child’s school experience, support the school district and give parent’s peace of mind. Our before and after care programs engage children with learning activities and offer homework assistance in a structured, yet fun, environment. Our programs take place in all ten elementary schools in the Downingtown Area School District.
- Full-time, part-time, and occasional use options
- Sibling discounts are offered to families enrolled for full-time care
- Fun, academically based curriculum that enhances DASD mission to prepare children for a successful future in school and beyond
- Before and After care programs consist of a variety of activities such as homework time, outdoor play, and group/independent activities

Registration for the 26-27 school year will open on May 18th, at 12pm, noon.

All students must have a completed registration packet to secure a spot in the program.
