West Bradford Elementary School recently hosted the Phillies Phitness program, presented by GIANT, an initiative aimed at educating children about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The event highlighted both the significance of staying active and making smart food choices to ensure a healthy future.

During the event, Phillies Phitness instructors led students through engaging exercises, demonstrating how daily activities and physical movement contribute to overall well-being. Representatives from GIANT also spoke to the students, emphasizing the value of informed food choices in maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet.

The program was brought to West Bradford Elementary by Justin Brown, Director of Student Relations and School Climate. “Encouraging our students to develop healthy habits is key to their success, both inside and outside the classroom. At Downingtown Area School District, we are committed to supporting the overall well-being of our students, and we are grateful to the Phillies and GIANT for partnering with us to bring this event to our school,” Brown said.

Principal Mrs. Deborah Kearney also highlighted the value of the program in empowering students to take ownership of their health. “We are thrilled to host this event at West Bradford Elementary. It’s important for our students to understand how they can take small steps now to build a healthy future,” she said.

Downingtown Area School District extends its gratitude to the Philadelphia Phillies and GIANT for providing this impactful program, which continues to inspire students to prioritize their health and wellness.
