  • We know that it takes trust in our team to send your student to school without food! We want you to feel confident that your child will receive the nourishment they need when they choose to dine with us during the school day. For this reason, here are many of the Frequently Asked Questions that we receive from Parents in DASD:

  • How do I add funds to my student's meal account? How much money is currently on my student's meal account?

    The easiest way to add funds and check your student's meal account balance is through PaySchools Central. Here, you can check your student's account balance, see the food your student is purchasing at school, and place money on their account. PaySchools Central is completely free and has no credit card transaction fees or sign up fees. You can access PaySchools Central on either their website, or download the app on your mobile device!

    How To Place Limits on Student's Account

    We do still accept cash or check for account payments (checks made out to DASD CAFETERIA ACCOUNT). Your student can give the funds to the main office of your school or directly to our cashier. You may also call our Food Service Office or your student's school for account balance inquiries.

  • Will my child ever be denied food at school?

    We will ALWAYS offer a full meal to your child, regardless of their account balance, so you never have to fear if they're getting the food they need to get through the school day. However, DASD does have a policy for the purchase of a la carte (non-meal) items without sufficient funds, as well as a policy on paying off student debt. These policies can be found in this document:

    How do I receive a refund for the money that's on my student's account?

    You can always get a refund for any funds left on your student's meal account if needed! Complete the form below and send it to our Food Service Office:

    How much does a meal cost? How do I apply for Free or Reduced priced meals?
