Kindergarten Registration 20-21
Please note: The Central Registration Office continues to review new student applications during the closure. Due to the high number of submissions, registrations for 2020-2021 can take 4-5 weeks to be processed. You will receive an email from the Central Registration Office in 3-4 school days to confirm receipt of your application. Questions? *If you have received a registration approval confirmation from Infinite Campus and/or our Registrar's office, please be assured that the schools will reach out to all parents of incoming Kindergartners at a later date. Please note that originally scheduled kindergarten events, screenings, etc. may need to be rescheduled due to the school closure. Please contact your school secretary via email with any school related questions.
**Registration for Kindergarten Enrichment through A Child's Place (ACP) is now open. You may register with ACP while Central Registration processes your application. AM/PM assignments are made by the schools and will be communicated in July; the schools will work with ACP to place students in the correct session.
Please click here to start the online registration process for your incoming kindergartener for the 2020-2021 school year. Be sure to select 20-21 for the Registration Year during the sign-on process. The application functions best in the Chrome browser on a desktop or laptop.
Kindergarten Age Requirement: students must have attained the age of five (5) years on or before September 1st of the year of enrollment.
AM/PM Kindergarten Preference is requested in the application and is taken into consideration by the child's school. AM/PM placement information will be made available in July and teacher assignments will be announced mid-August. Bus information will also be announced mid-August.
Required documentation can be uploaded during the application process*. If you are having difficulty uploading a document due to size restrictions, please save as a Reduced Size PDF (File>Save As Other>Reduced Size PDF).
Please have the following documents ready when beginning your application:
- Student birth certificate or passport
- Parent/Guardian Driver’s License or Passport
- Proof of Residence (one of the following) - rental agreement or lease (all pages, must be signed), deed (all pages, must be signed), settlement statement, current DASD tax bill, or mortgage statement
- Immunization Records & Physical**
- Physical must be less than 12 months old from start date
- You may submit a copy of the physical & immunization records provided by the student's physician or use the state form.
*If you are not able to upload the documentation to the online application, you may bring hard copies to the DASD Administration Building on 2/26, 3/2 or 3/3. Please revisit this web-site to schedule an appointment.
**If the student's physical & immunization records are not currently up to date or they have not yet had their 5-year physical, please complete the online registration now. Please note that you must submit the physical & immunization records to your child’s school prior to the first day of school.
School Specific Information & Events
Preschool Parent Group
The preschool parent group will be holding a series of free events throughout the year for preschool students who will be attending DASD kindergarten in the coming year. The goal of these events is to familiarize the children and their families with DASD and to help answer any questions.
Thur, Feb 27, 6-7 pm at Beaver Creek: Soccer Shots. The evening will be divided into two, 30-minute sessions for the preschoolers to attend. One session will be with the Soccer Shots coaches and the other session will be a read aloud about team building and a gross motor team building games. Tue, May 19, 6-7 pm at Lionville Elementary: Get on the Bus. This evening will be an informational session for the adults provided by Christopher Brown, Supervisor of Transportation. The preschoolers will learn about bus safety and get to take a ride on a school bus. RSVP to email@example.com by May 15 to secure your spot!
