Dr. Kirk Johnson

Dr. Kirk Johnson currently serves in the role of Instructional Coach at Downingtown West High School. Dr. Johnson collaborates with teachers at Downingtown West to design instruction and hone pedagogical strategies to meet the needs specific to the learners at Downingtown West. Prior to working in the role of Instructional Coach, Dr. Johnson was an English teacher at Downingtown East. Dr. Johnson was instrumental in the implementation of the AP Capstone program, including the classes AP Seminar and AP Research.

In 2019, Dr. Johnson and the Teacher-Librarian at Downingtown West, Mrs. Nass, worked together to create an Academic Resource Collective (A.R.C.) to best address the needs of both teachers and students at Downingtown West. This ongoing project seeks to inspire innovation, creativity, and high academic standards in the classrooms at Downingtown West.
