Speech Therapy

  • Speech Therapists often assess and address the following skills based on functional need identified by the child’s team:
    • Articulation – accurate sound production
    • Voice – pitch, loudness or sound quality
    • Fluency or stuttering
    • Comprehension/understanding of what is being said
    • Expressive language – The ability to relay information, thoughts, and feelings to others
    • Cognitive aspects of communication (i.e., memory, problem solving)
    • Establishing augmentative and alternative communication (developing, selecting and recommending systems/devices)
