Holly Backenstose holds an elementary and special education degree from Millersville University and middle level certifications in Language Arts and Math. She has taught at Lionville Middle School since it opened in 1998.  Before coming to Downingtown, Mrs. Backenstose taught 3^rd grade in the Coatesville School District where she also coached high school cross country.  Mrs. Backenstose currently teaches 7^th grade ELA but has also taught 7^th grade math, science and special education.  During her tenure at LMS, Mrs. Backenstose has coached track, been a member of the SAS team, and has served as a curriculum and team leader.
