CAS – Creativity, Activity, Service
- IB Diploma Candidates: Continued involvement over 18 months. Students may begin their experiences/projects the first day of school year for Juniors.
- Students who are not IB Diploma Candidates are still required to meet the DASD Graduation project requirements. Students will fulfill this requirement through eligible CAS experiences.
CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) lies at the heart of the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and provides the student with opportunities to develop a balanced, healthy and ethical lifestyle and to reflect upon those values.
CAS enables students to enhance their personal and interpersonal development through experiential learning that addresses 7 Learning Outcomes: Awareness, Challenge, Initiative, Collaboration, Commitment, Global Value, Ethics. IB Diploma Candidates must successfully meet the CAS requirements in order to receive the IB Diploma. CAS satisfies the DASD High School Graduation Project for all STEM Academy Students.
