General Manager Northeast Region
David A. Ross is General Manager of GE Energy's Services business for the Northern US and Canada. He leads a region team of more than 300 commercial professionals responsible f or GE Energy’s $3+ billion Services portfolio that includes Power Generation Services, Transmission & Distribution, Industrial, Environmental, and Sensing & Control products and services.
Ross' General Electric career began in 1990 as a power generation field engineer and has more than 20 years of experience serving customers in the Energy market. He has progressed through leadership roles in the General Electric Company, including various global assignments responsible for the commercial organization s for GE’s T&D business, Industrial Services and Controls businesses before moving into his current role.
Mr. Ross holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and is Six Sigma Black Belt Certified. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New York State Smart Grid Consortium and on the Advisory Board of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) at New York State University at Stony Brook. Mr. Ross lives in Pennsylvania with his wife Karyn. They have 3 children.
