Upon graduating from college in Vermont Mrs. Bergman decided a change of scenery was in order. She followed a childhood dream and moved down to the Florida Keys to become a dolphin trainer. While the weather in the winter was great, and she thoroughly enjoyed working with the dolphins and other sea life; Mrs. Bergman realized that she liked working with animals that could communicate without getting her soaking wet more. She packed up her things and moved back to PA to follow another one of her passions, educating children about the world around them.
Mrs. Bergman began her teaching career working for Mr. Mulvey at DMS and is happy to be working for him again. In the classroom she can be heard discussing how everything on Earth is connected or looking at her beloved earthquake map. Especially the DYFI map, that is her favorite. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her knowledge of Earth Science with her students while helping them to understand their actions impact the future of their planet. Her classroom has an impressive collection of Mr. Potato Heads and sand from various beaches around the world. She is always accepting new donations for her sand collection. Some days even Han Solo will assist during a lesson.
When Mrs. Bergman had some free time before the arrival of her two children she coached swimming at Martin's Dam and the Upper Main Line YMCA. Nowadays she happily spends her free time with her family. If there is any time left over Mrs. Bergman enjoys swimming, playing golf, reading, and playing floor hockey (she has even won a championship). Mrs. Bergman is an avid follower of the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles. Some of her favorite players include John LeClair, John Kruk, Randall Cunningham, Carlos Ruiz, Brian Dawkins, and Chase Utley.
