    DHS West offers a diverse program of study. Our students are involved in academics at all levels.     • Keystone Testing will begin on Tuesday, May 15th and end on Thursday, May 17th using a modified bell schedule.  Student classroom assignments will be posted the Friday prior to exams.  A copy of the modified bell schedule can be viewed here.

Graduation Announcements

  • Cap and Gown Information:

    If you have not yet ordered your Cap and Gown it not too late! Orders must be placed online at and may contain a $10.00 late fee if placed after April 3rd.  Type in "Downingtown HS West" in the box at the top of the page to find your school.  Click "Shop Grad Products" and the graduation announcement packages will appear.  To order just a cap and gown, scroll to the bottom of that page, click on "Shop Individual Products" and the Cap and Gown packages will appear.  The cost for a Cap and Gown is $15.85 (including tax) for a basic package which includes cap, gown and tassel.  If you can borrow a cap and gown from last year's graduation class, you would only need to order a tassel for $6.95.

    • Lunch Account Refunds for Seniors:  

    Attention Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2018: If you would like a lunch account refund or would like to have any balance transferred to a sibling, please email Kathleen LaBricciosa at  Also, as a reminder, any negative balances are considered obligations and must be paid by May 31, 2018 in order to receive commencement tickets and cap & gown.

    • May 31 & June 4 – MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICES – Seniors must participate in each of these rehearsals.  Practices begin at 9am on May 31st and 11:00 am on June 4.  Students should report to the gymnasium by 15 minutes earlier. On June 4th, there will be a senior video shown at 9:45 am in the auditorium prior to the final practice.  All seniors must clear their obligations prior to receiving their cap and gown and their graduation tickets.
