Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center is a 21st century school. We are on the cutting edge of technology but yet are still focused on proven traditional means of educating our students. We feel strongly that integrating the arts and creative thinking into our educational program helps to contribute to creating a well-rounded student that will succeed academically and socially.

  • Valentine's Day Sale 1/30-2/3

    Student Council will be selling Valentines from January 30th to February 3rd at all lunches. Items being sold range from $2-$3. Items are first come, first serve. Valentines will be delivered in homeroom on February 14th.

    Award Winning Author, Jerry Spinelli

    On February 6th, award-winning author, Jerry Spinelli, will be visiting Marsh Creek for an assembly. He will be talking about his newest book and answering student questions. The assembly will be for MC students only. If you ordered an autographed copy of Jerry Spinelli's newest book, The Warden's Daughter; a copy of the book will arrive at MC a few days after the assembly.

    Student Faculty Basketball Game

    Our annual student faculty basketball game will be held immediately after school on Friday February 10th.  We encourage all students to attend. Tickets will be on sale the week of February 6th at lunch and at the door for $5.  A raffle for prize baskets will be held during the second half of the game.  Raffle tickets can be bought at the game or won through foul shots. All money raised will be donated to the Chester County Food Bank.

    Both the Heart & Sole and STRIDE TOO programs are looking for volunteer coaches.

    What is Heart and Soul? Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole! A fun, life-changing afterschool program for 6th grade girls that combines training for a 5K run with lessons that inspire girls to recognize and celebrate their individual talents.

    What is STRIDE Too? You Can Make a Differrence in the Life of a Boy…Be a Coach!  A fun, life-changing after school programs for 6th grade boys that combines training for successful completion of a 5K with lessons that develop and build character.

    Drama Club

    Attention students with completed permission slips for Drama Club: Our first meeting will be held this Tuesday, January 17th, at 3:30 on the stage.

    Chess Club

    Chess club is running again! Room B265 on January 12th. It will continue for 8 weeks until March 2nd. Please signup by signing the list on Dr. Fachin Lucas' door Room B265. You need a permission slip to attend.

    Drama Club

    Attention all aspiring actors! Drama club is set to begin on Tuesday, January 17th.  Please stop by Mrs. Leister’s room, A137, to pick up your permission slip.  The club will run on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 through May.  All slips must be in by Monday, January 9th. 

    Knowledge Club

    Attention all MC students – the Marsh Creek Knowledge Bowl Team will begin meeting on Thursday, February 9th at 8AM in the Library.  We will continue to meet on Thursday mornings at 8AM until the countywide competition in early May.  If you would like to be a member of the 2017 Knowledge Bowl Team please stop by Mrs. Sandora’s room – A314 to get a permission slip.

    GIRLS EXPLORING TOMORROW’S TECHNOLOGY (GETT) 2017

    Registration Opens February 14, 2017

    Registration for the 17th annual GETT event begins at 8:00AM on Tuesday, February 14th.  This program will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at West Chester East High School from 12:30 until 5:00pm.  This is a free event for girls in 5th-10th grade and is designed to be an hands-on, interactive and fun event which will give girls the opportunity to meet successful women role models with careers based on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

    Parents and Educators are also urged to attend by registering for this event.  Parents will be charged a fee of $10.
