Marsh Creek Sixth Grade Center is a 21st century school. We are on the cutting edge of technology but yet are still focused on proven traditional means of educating our students. We feel strongly that integrating the arts and creative thinking into our educational program helps to contribute to creating a well-rounded student that will succeed academically and socially.

    Safe Screen Time March 8  7-8:30pm

    On March 8, at 7-8:30, a workshop about how to keep your child safe online is being held in the MC library.

    A representative from the Chester County Crime Victim's Center is speaking to parents. The focus of the workshop is to teach parents about what kids are doing online, cyber bullying, online predators, how a child can stay safe, best practices and online safety pledges, and how to put restrictions on devices. Sign up to attend and ask a question that you want the presenters to answer! We hope to seeyou there! Sunny Dietrich, who is organizing this event, is a 13 yearold Girl Scout in 8th grade and is completing her Silver Award.

    PARTICIPANTS WHO FILL OUT EVALUATIONS WILL BE ENTERED INTO A RAFFLE TO WIN TWO MOVIE TICKETS AND A GAME BASKET!!!!!

    Donate Books to the Downingtown Library

    One of the A Team's Agent of Change groups are helping the Downingtown library by  seeking donations of gently used adult and children’s books, as well as CDs and DVDs, for their spring book sale. NO TEXTBOOKS OR DAMAGED BOOKS, PLEASE! Donations will be accepted beginning Feb. 6 through March 18th. Please place any donations in the boxes around the school.

    MAKE A DIFFERENCE in a Child's Life: Be a Coach

    Both the Heart & Sole and STRIDE TOO programs are looking for volunteer coaches.

    What is Heart and Soul? Girls on the Run/Heart & Sole! A fun, life-changing afterschool program for 6th grade girls that combines training for a 5K run with lessons that inspire girls to recognize and celebrate their individual talents.

    What is STRIDE Too? You Can Make a Differrence in the Life of a Boy…Be a Coach!  A fun, life-changing after school programs for 6th grade boys that combines training for successful completion of a 5K with lessons that develop and build character. .
